Chimères participará en el Festival Internacional de Filmes Lusófonos y Francófonos de Montpellier

El Festival Internacional de Cine de habla portuguesa y francesa de Montpellier (FEST'AFILM) es un evento que fue creado en 2008 por la Asociación Cultural Portugués de Montpellier, Casa Amadís, por iniciativa del fundador Sr. Fernando Fuertes y director de FEST'AFILM.

Crear, intercambiar y entender son las consignas de FEST'AFILM. Su misión es simple: crear una relación cinematográfica, ver lo que viene de otra parte, que hay aquí y que se puede ofrecer de aquí en otros lugares.

Para esta edición 2012, el filme Chimères de Ragnar Chacín ha sido seleccionado para ser proyectado en la selección de "Panorama Fenêtre Ouverte Corps & Désir" el viernes 30 de noviembre a las 20:00hrs en el Pleine Lune 28 Rue du Faubourg Figuerolles, Montpellier.

Chimères en la Selección Oficial del International Golden Boll Film Festival de Adana, Turquia

Este año, el filme Chimères de Ragnar Chacin, ha recibido diversos reconocimiento y fue visto por cientos de personas de varias nacionalidades.

En esta ocasión y después de haberse presentado durante el mes de julio del presente año, en el Festival de Cortometrajes al aire libre de Grenoble en Francia y en el Festival Internacional de Cine Guanajuato en México; ha sido seleccionado nuevamente ser exhibido, ahora, durante el International Golden Boll Film Festival de Adana, Turquia., del 17 al 23 de septiembre de 2012

Esperamos que pronto esta pieza sea exhibida en México, una vez más.

Des clics et des classes, Rencontres d'Arles 2011

A partir de un trabajo realizado con alumnos del Liceo Franco Mexicano, los fotógrafos Guillaume Corpart y Ragnar Chacin fueron seleccionados para participar a una muestra colectiva en el Festival Internacional de Rencontres d'Arles 2011, dentro del marco de programa de educación Des clics et des classes.

Guillaume Corpart Muller es premiado enThe Everyman Pro Photo Contest 2010

Guillaume Corpart Muller, co-fundador de StilL, fue galardonado en el prestigiado concurso fotográfico The Everyman Pro Photo Contest con el Primer lugar en la categoría de Arquitectura y una Mención honorifica en la de Blanco&Negro.

Las imagenes premiadas:

Mención honorifica B&N: Skyline

Ambas imagenes pertenecen a la serie: CHAOSOPOLIS.

COLOR Magazine Awards Jan Smith

Jan Smith was selected by COLOR Magazine in the COLOR Portfolio Contest 2009 for an Excellence Award, which means that several images out of his portfolio will be published in the first Special Issue of COLOR magazine scheduled to arrive on newsstands the first week of September.

There are only 15 winners in this category (out of a total of 580 entries comprising about 900 portfolios).

Jan Smith awarded in the 2008 Prix de la Photographie Paris

On June 23^rd, 2009 in Paris, France, the Px3 announced the winners of the 2008 competition.

Jan Smith of Mexico was Awarded:

• 1^st Place in category Book Proposal; 2^nd Place in the category Fine Art, and Two Honorable Mentions for the entry titled, " Ausencia y Abandono ".
• 3rd Place, and One Honorable Mention in the category Advertising for the entry titled, “Nouadhibou”.

Jan Smith on burn.

On March 24th,2009 Jan Smith was published by burn. Magazine. The selected image, titled “C’est tout” belongs to the Ausencia y Abandono series. It was shot on Gunkanjima Island, Japan in November, 2008.
